    Participation

    One or two participants per team belonging to the same institute are allowed.

    Competition

    1. Teams are not allowed to bring any book or helping material with them in the competition. Use of electronic material assistance (PDA, laptops etc) is prohibited.
    2. The development tools provided will be:

    • Pro-E
    • Solid Works
    • Auto cad
    • ANSYS

    3. The teams are required to analyze the Model and simulate the results using software tools like Pro-E OR Solid Works OR Auto cad OR ANSYS.

    4. Judging is comparatively strict. The students are given a problem statement - not a requirements' document. The team that designs first in the least cumulative time is declared the winner.

    5. Teams must ensure their familiarity with these resources. Further resources may be added/removed prior to the competition. Changes will be communicated in the confirmation.

    E-Gaming

    Call of duty Modern Warfare 3

    By far the most popular game ever made! It is a tactical first person shooter video game where each team attempts to complete their mission objective and/or eliminate the opposing team. Each team consists of five players.

    FIFA 15

    It is the latest installment of the EA sports FIFA series. Because of the easy game play, it's a popular game amongst amateurs and experts alike. FIFA caters to the gamers' innate football needs while not taking them too far from the computer.

    Need for Speed: Most Wanted (2005)

    The most popular racing video game out there, it will entice loads of amateurs and professionals to obtain the ultimate rubber burnt glory racers have ever achieved.

    Tekken Tag tournament 2

    The most popular fighting game, armed with jaw dropping HD graphics; the largest character roster ever in Tekken gaming history. Step forward, choose your character and compete to be the KING of TEKKEN.

    Challenge Mode

    In Challenge mode 2 games will be available i.e. taken tag tournament 2 and fifa 15. Registration will be on the spot for challenge mode, delegates came for the event will be able to enjoy challenging their friends.

    1. Every participant must be registered with the authorities.
    2. Every culture represented by the participants should be at one place not scattered and get mixed with other culture people.

    3. Every culture should represent not only male or female but male, female, and children to give a complete picture of the culture on its stall.

    4. On the stall of every culture there should be things related to that culture in the modern world which are used by that culture in the present days.

    5. No culture should try to degrade other culture.

    6. The participants of each culture should have enough information about the culture they are representing to tell people about it.

    7. They should not wear clothes or any accessories from any other culture other than which they are representing.

    8. Each and every participant should not consider himself as a model on ramp and neither should walk like model. They should walk in the tome of culture which they are representing.

    9. Each team would be called out of ramp walk as per their assigned number.

    10. The clothes and accessories of every culture used should be neat and clean to give a good look.

    11. Each team mush have to submit their music file before their ramp with the Team name written on it.

    12. No power would be provided to the stalls, so all must come up with their own laptops if needed.

    1. The teams are required to analyze a picture (that will be provided to the teams) of any place and are then required to design or visualize that image by time period of 20 years of the current place in the image.

    Race to Innovation

    Introduction

    The competition consists of three rounds i.e.

    • Span the bridge
    • Parachute designing
    • Catapult designing

    The teams are required to participate in 3 rounds i.e. span the bridge, parachute designing, and, catapult designing

    • In the first round the teams will be provided wood ice cream sticks and glue and they are required to design a wooden bridge in a given time.
    • The teams will be then passed to the second round where the teams will be provided with parachute designing tool and they are required to design a parachute in a given time
    • The last round is the Catapult designing round where the teams are required to design a parachute in a given time

    The team that design passes all the three categories with good points will be declared the winner.

    Scavenger hunt

    Rules and Competition

    • Minimum 3 and Maximum 5 participants per team
    • All team members need to stay with their team at all times. You may not split up to "divide" scavenger hunt tasks or pay or bribe additional individuals to join your team and complete your tasks.
    • Some scavenger hunt tasks deal with strangers... It's very important to be kind and respectful with strangers, and with that said - always be on guard and stay safe, use your healthy judgment when it comes to people you don't know.
    • NO harassing citizens of your town, physically or verbally for items or photographs. It is their right to choose not to help you and you should respect that (even if you think they are lame for not helping you).
    • Teams must be courteous and respectful to their teammates and all the outside people involved in the scavenger hunt.
    • If businesses or private individuals lend you items it's okay, but please note that it is each team's responsibility to return any borrowed items to their original owners (if requested).
    • Everyone needs to know the boundaries of the scavenger hunt. Make it very clear what they are, whether they are inside, outside, in a certain neighborhood, etc.
    • Always play fair. Don't let your competitive instincts drive you to ruin other people's chances to win, if you do - you're team might be disqualified. This means no cheating, lying, stealing, sabotaging, or copying other people's work. Sabotaging other teams will result in disqualification.
    • Spending money to acquire items on the list is not required. If you are strategic enough you can complete the scavenger hunt at a minimal cost! It is discouraged to spend money excessively (especially because most of the fun is being creative on how you get the items on the list).
    • Make sure each team has a mobile phone and contact numbers in the case of an emergency.
    • Cheaters never win. If anyone on your team cheats or breaks the scavenger hunt rules, the whole team gets disqualified. Remember - it's just a game! Be kind and have fun :-)
    • Judges determinations after the scavenger hunt are final

    Speed Programming Competition

    Competition

    1. Deadline will be strictly adhered.
    3. Single computer per team.

    4. Three problems will be provided.

    5. All team members must be from same institute.

    6. No books or help material will be allowed.

    7. Platforms supported will be:

    • C++ (Microsoft Visual C++ and GCC-Editplus Frontend)
    • Java (Netbeans and Java-SDK-Editplus Frontend)
    • Microsoft Visual Studio .NET

    8. Teams must ensure their familiarity with platforms prior to the competition. Any platform of preference should be communicated to the organizers in advance.

    9. If anyone wants to use another development tools they can bring their own laptops.

    Penalty

    With every wrong output the marks will be deducted from the team.

    Quiz Competition

    Introduction

    The competition consists of three rounds i.e.

    • Documentary Round
    • Buzzer round
    • Challenging round

    The teams are required to pass through 3 rounds i.e. Documentary round, Buzzer round, and, Challenging round. In the first round the teams will be provided with a video clip which they have to observe carefully and then answer the questions to be asked at the end of the video clip.
    The teams will be then passed to the second round where so rapid general questions will be asked and the team have to answer the questions faster than the other teams.
    The last round is the challenging round where some technical questions will be asked from the teams. The team that answers many of the questions in the three rounds will be declared the winner.

    3. All the participants will be given a limited time of 5 to 10 minutes.
    4. Participants can play as many tunes as they can in particular time.

    7. Violence of rules will lead to the disqualification of the participant.

    Rules and regulations

    1. Players must be in a Proper Kits
    2. 5 Players per team including Goal keeper & 3 substitutes

    4. All teams must be on time in field otherwise match will be walkover after 3 min
    5. Match duration 20 min. 10 min of each Half
    6. Organizers has authority to Disqualify the team find in having some sort of misbehaving

    App Idea Challenge

    Rules and regulations

    Participation:

    Maximum 2 participants per team

    Competition

    1. Students are required to submit their Mobile App Idea for consideration in the first round of the competition. Selected teams from the first round will be informed to prepare their submitted apps for the second round.
    2. In the second round, student teams will be asked to explain their idea and present it to a panel of judges. Teams will have 15 minutes to showcase their work.
    3. No student can be part of two different teams, but each team can support upto 3 ideas for the first round. Teams are also allowed to submit updates until the deadline.
    4. Teams can bring their own devices to showcase their app and its use during the presentation.
    5. Students can submit any platform apps.

    6. Any changes in the rules prior to the competition will be communicated in the confirmation.

    Jury

    The winning team will be determined by :

    • Originality of the Idea.
    • Practicability of the concept and its potential usage.

    Business Plan Competition

    Rules and Procedures

    1. The executive Summary has to be submitted 2 days before the event at "technocarnivalcecos@gmail.com"
    2. The final report of the whole business idea has to be submitted on the day of event

    Contest and Presentation Rules

    1. Team should have minimum of 2 and maximum of 3 members. However, all team members are encouraged to take part in the Question - Answer session.
    2. Time limit for presentation is 15 minutes and 10 minutes for question answer session. So in total your presentation + answer question time lapse is 25 minutes. (Time duration can be modified depending on the number of participants).
    3. The schedule regarding the timings of Business Plan Competition will be uploaded on the website.
    4. Participants must bring their own USB's and soft copy of business plan in it.
    5. Winning will be on the basis of clarity, coherence and creativity of Business plan competition.

    Important Pre-Requisites

    Minimum of 2 and maximum of 3 participants are required by every team. In case of 1 participants, the team will be disqualified

    Green Idea challenge

    Introduction

    You will have to submit an executive summary of one page which should include what is your idea, how and why is it important, the impact of its implementation, with your team name and institute in the title via email

    Round 1

    In the first round of the event, your team will have a maximum of 10minutes (7 minutes presentation: 3 minutes Q&A) to present your green idea. We of course, do not expect you to cover every aspect of your idea in Round1! You will be judged on the following elements in Round 1:

    • Reasoning behind choosing this plan
    • Financial feasibility
    • Presentation

    Round 2

    In the second round, the teams which have been shortlisted based upon the quality of ideas presented and their financial viability, will each be given 15 minutes to present their detailed plans which should include atleast the following features,

    • Review of idea
    • Detailed financial viability (show demand/ market)
    • Communication strategy (marketing strategy)
    • Impact of idea if its implemented

    Rules and Competition

    Participation

    Individual participant competition.

    Competition

    1.In striking, the player's hand or arm must not cross the diagonal foul lines at either end of the baseline.

    2. For the very first turn, the player is allowed three attempts to "break" i.e. disturb the central group of counters.

    3. It doesn't matter which piece the striker hits first and it doesn't matter if the striker hits no pieces.

    4. If a the striker pockets the Queen and/or one or more pieces of her own colour, the player retrieves the striker and takes another strike.

    5. If the player pockets no pieces or commits a foul, the turn finishes. Covering the Queen

    6. A player may only pocket and cover the Queen if that player has already pocketed at least one piece of that player's colour.

    7. Should a player pocket the Queen before being permitted to cover it, the turn continues but the Queen is returned to the centre at the end of the turn.

    8. If a player pockets the Queen and one of her own pieces in the same turn, this counts and that player has covered the Queen. Such a player must have already pocketed at least one piece in order to cover the Queen as per normal.

    9. When a player pockets the Queen but does not cover it, the Queen is returned as near as possible to the centre circle by the opponent.

    Other Rules

    Pieces returned to the centre can be placed on top of other pieces within the main circle.

    If pieces come to rest standing on their edge or overlapping another piece, they are left as they are until moved again in the normal course of play.

    If the striker comes to rest under another piece, the striker should be removed with as little disturbance to the covering piece as possible.

    Tug Of War

    Rules and regulations

    Participation

    3-5 participants per team can participate.

    Competition

    1. The Rope The game involves usage of single equipment i.e. a rope. There is a red mark made in the middle of the rope.

    This red mark on the rope needs to be at a perpendicular angle to the exact center point on the ground, before the commencement of the game.

    A white mark is made exactly 13 feet from the red mark on either sides of the rope. The game is won when either side with this white mark crosses the center point. Teams According to the rules of tug of war, each team can accommodate a maximum of 8 members.

    However the combined weight of these members should not exceed the weight determined for the particular category.

    Fouls

    1. There is a particular technique that needs to be applied while playing this game, if not then there will be a foul which can call in for disqualifications. For e.g. lowering your elbow below the knee level while pulling the rope is considered to be a foul and is called 'locking'.

    2. Touching the ground for a longer period of time is also considered as a foul.
