Governor’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa , Peshawar Hosts Insightful Meeting with Members of the Private Chartered Universities Forum, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (PCUF-KP).

The Honorable Governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Mr. Faisal Karim Kundi, held a meeting with representatives from the Private Chartered Universities Forum, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (PCUF-KP) to discuss the critical role of private universities in the province’s education sector. The meeting focused on fostering collaboration between the government and private institutions to advance academic excellence and innovation.
 
The PCUF-KP was represented by Mr. Sohaib Tanveer, President PCUF-KP & Vice President of CECOS University, Dr. Muhammad Imranullah, Chancellor of Abasyn University, Mr. Taha Jamil Sawar, Pro-Rector of northernuniversity, Dr. Abdul Basit, Chancellor of Preston University, Maj (R) Dr. Abdul Hafeez Khan Niazi, President of Qurtuba University Official, Dr. Nasrullah Khan, Vice Chancellor of City University (official), Dr. Malik Taimur Ali, Vice Chancellor of Iqra National University INU-Official, and Dr. Salim ur Rehman, Vice Chancellor of Sarhad University of Science & Information Technology.

Mr. Sohaib Tanveer, highlighted the contributions of private universities in diversifying educational opportunities and addressing capacity gaps. He showed the numbers and impact that private institutions are creating in the province. Dr. Abdul Basit mentioned that most of our institutions have been serving KP for more than four decades. Dr. Muhammad Imranullah mentioned the support needed by private universities, particularly in government funding, research, internships and student support schemes. Maj (R) Dr. Abdul Hafeez Khan Niazi raised concerns about the financial and administrative burdens imposed on private educational institutions, while Dr. Salim ur Rehman called for a scholarships and laptop distribution program in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for students of Private Universities. Dr Nasrullah Khan highlighted the need of collaboration with Private Sector Institutions and sharing of resources for optimal utilization.

The Honorable Governor, Mr. Faisal Karim Kundi, concluded the meeting by thanking the PCUF-KP members for their valuable input and commitment to advancing higher education in the province. He affirmed that the meeting marks the beginning of a new chapter in collaborative efforts to build a world-class education system in Pakistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He assured the members that their concerns would be taken up with the relevant authorities for resolution and expressed his gratitude for their commitment to advancing education in the province.
 
The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks exchanged between the Governor and the PCUF-KP members.
