>> Architecture Programme at CECOS gets accredited for another year
Pakistan Council of Architects & Town Planners during their visit for re-accrediation of Architecture Programme of CECOS University praised the endeavours of the university for providing quality education. On the recommendation of visitation team, the Council has granted accreditation for another year to CECOS's Architecture Degree Programme.

Higher Education Commission has been awarded Category 'W3'. This has placed CECOS in the top ranked universities of the country.

>> Academic Council meets at CECOS University
CECOS University held its meeting of academic council under the chairman ship of Prof. Dr. Riaz A Khattak, Vice Chancellor of the university. He welcomed the members and presented detail account of progress report regarding important policy matters and measures taken about various developmental and non developmental academic and research activities of the University.

>>CECOS Open House 2012
CECOS University arranged an Open House in which the Projects designed by the students of Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Bachelor of Architecture were displayed with a view to develop an innovative attitude among the students.

Serminar on the topic of "Smart Grid Technology - Potential and Application for Pakistan” was given by Dr Raziq Yaqub, a renown scientist, recipient of numerous awards with over 30 patents to his credit, working as Associate Professor, University of Tennessee, USA, The Seminar highlighted the need for modernizing the existing power Grid for energy efficiencies and emphasized that modern Grid has the potential of meeting increasing energy demand without adding the new generating capacity.

CECOS Faculty Member, Ar. Mir Wali Shah, presented a Research Paper in the Int'l Conference on Vernacular Settlements-6 in Cyprus. His Paper was on the topic of “Exploring Sustainable Solution for Earthquake Affected Communities.A Case Study of Kodar Village".

Students of CECOS visited Turkey and Cyprus as part of their International Study Trip. They visited different institutions and various sites of academic importance.This kind of activities provide exposure to students and helps them to think out of the box.

A two days workshop on “Professional Practice for Architects” organized by the Board of Architectural Education and IAP at CECOS Campus. The two day workshop comprised of presentations focusing on the areas of project management and professional practice. The students took part in activities and quizzes assigned by trainers. The concluding session of the workshop was attended by renowned architects Ar.Syed Aqeel Bilgramin (Chairman BAE), Ar. Jahangir Khan Sherpao, Ar. Mansoor Khan (Chairman IAP Peshawar Chapter).
